Week #1 Show Teaser Killing It

"Killing It" is a half hour dark comedy about three immoral friends who've been given the power of death by a retiring grim reaper. Every episode guarantees at least one hilarious and hugely inappropriate death; everyone dies at some point, so nothing is off limits. The lessons and morals our main characters learn will be completely misguided. We promise. Let's watch people die together.

Synopsis

Imagine a show where characters never feel bad about picking people to die and you never feel bad for laughing about it. This is “Killing It”, a half hour dark comedy about three immoral friends who’ve been given the power of death by a retiring grim reaper. Every episode of “Killing It” is guaranteed to feature at least one hilarious and hugely inappropriate death. That couple who won’t shut up about their adopted newborn? A smartass ten-year old? Everyone dies at some point, so nothing is off limits! “Killing It” is a show about life and death, but it's not a story about morals. Any lessons our main characters learn will be completely misguided. We promise. Let’s watch people die together.

Ryan Bright's Profile Image

Ryan Bright

Writer, Showrunner

My name is Ryan Bright and I've had numerous screenplays produced; my latest ('Til Death) recently screened at the Cannes International Film Festival. After my last two dramatic scripts involved children in peril, I decided to branch out and kill kids comedically.

Alysson Hall's Profile Image

Alysson Hall

Writer, Producer

My name is Alysson Hall, and I'm a Vancouver based writer and actor who recently graduated from the University of Victoria with a specialization in Acting. Since then I have co-created Kalamatea Productions, and have been writing & acting for the web. My end goal is to maximize the rejection I receive on a daily basis. I'm hoping ComedyCoup will help me in this endeavor.

Michael Orlando's Profile Image

Michael Orlando

Writer, Showrunner

My name is Michael Orlando and I’m an award-winning screenwriter currently finishing my Master’s degree in screenwriting at the University of British Columbia. My favorite motto has always been “write what you know,” so that’s why I wanted to write a show about killing innocent men, women, and children.

The Hype It video and sell sheet have really helped me come to terms with this project's subject matter. I'm sure the live stream event will bring out the bright side of death even more.

I like the dark comedy, but having trouble seeing how this will develop, and I feel like it does what has been done with Monty Python, South Park and the Simpsons, but not quite as funny… I see the potential though!

Completely unfunny, poorly made and sick. There is nothing funny about killing a 10 year old. Maybe I am missing something but it actually bothers me. Considering that 2 million children....oh forget it. My only 1 that I have given is to you, if that tells you anything.
