Synopsis

An irreverent & hilarious half-hour comedy about an aging Iranian taxi driver, a fabulously gay Spaniard, and a young Iranian-Canadian girl.

Tara Grammy plays the three outrageous characters.

Mahmoud, a once well respected electrical engineer back in Iran, is now an exuberant, if a bit too chatty, Toronto cab-driver who loves to regale his passengers with his love for Persian culture & lore.

Emanuelos, the fabulously (and a bit flamboyantly) gay Spaniard would love nothing more than to talk your ear off about his Iranian boyfriend, Behnam.

And then there's Tara, the twelve-year old Iranian-Canadian girl, who just wants to be… “normal”.

Strong effort, especially considering that the sketch comedy section is so full up of talent and funny people. I always respect the talent who is willing to cross-dress, and as a long-time Mary Walsh fan always got a kick out of her Dakey Dunn and the Quinland Quints. Keep it up.

If it was up to me, I would introduce you to another female troupe of three people that are also in the competition and see about creating some kind of modern, all-female 'Kids in the Hall'. You've definitely got a lot to offer and could be well-placed on a sketch comedy show for sure.

Great show. Funny and as the best comedy is - serious. Tara is an amazing one woman performer. You'll be impressed with the many characters she plays and you'll instantly believe she's this Iranian taxi driver and the next second, a pre-teen girl.
