Week #1 Show Teaser The Good Word

Two mormons on a mission and they will do anything to get the word out.

Synopsis

Two young American Mormon missionaries are called to one of the coldest missions in the world, but the fire in their spirits fuels their drive to spread The Good Word. And they won’t take no for an answer, and won’t take dog bites or snow storms either. Between their quirky relationship with local members, advice from a neighbourhood geriatric Jewish man, and disinterested residents, these two boys come up with some creative ways to get their message heard.

Christopher Kwasnik's Profile Image

Christopher Kwasnik

Writer, Director

At 22, I’m the wise one in the group (or at least the concept of the show was my idea). I caught the bug for film making when I got my hands on a camcorder when I was 12. Like any decent affliction, I can’t shake it, it keeps me up and night, and it doesn’t pay well. I’ve written, produced and directed two shorts: Dream Girl and What If...

Russ Morrow's Profile Image

Russ Morrow

Marketing / Social, Writer

Eight years ago I started writing my first screenplay. It took almost four years, either because I was lazy or the learning curve. I’m gonna go with the learning curve. Since that first screenplay, I have written three more features, a couple of shorts, and a pilot for a web series. All are absolute masterpieces; the next Annie Hall or Chinatown.

Francis Sanchez's Profile Image

Francis Sanchez

Producer, Editor

Spanish name. Baltic heritage. Educated in Australia. I have a temper but express it in a passive aggressive way. Can anyone be more Canadian? I’m a non-practicing lawyer and never see a courtroom – kinda like being a Catholic. Rather than dabble in the dull legal world, I love film and video production, and would like nothing more than to see one of my projects produced.

This is funny. I can see this idea lasting a couple of seasons because it has a lot of directions it can go.

Love it love it love it. Concept is present, characters are something that can develop so lots of room to grow thru the series, and come on...who wouldn't want to watch something as funny as 2 green Latter Day Saints missionaries run around and get into trouble;) hope u guys make it to the next round.

Great concept but week 2 and 3 videos weren't as entertaining or creative as the teaser. It would have been more impact-full to see how the show is different through the actual characters rather than be told how the show will be different by the writers and producers.

I wanted to SEE more of what you are as a team rather than you telling what you are about. I kind of lost interest and you may have a lot to offer.

I am sorry to say that you guys spend too much time talking about what you are going to do and not enough time showing us what you can do.

This is really funny. I laughed out loud when the two Mormons broke into the house because the homeowner wouldn't answer the door. I great idea that will have lots of opportunities for on-going stories!

It would have been much more interesting if you would have shown us why you are different rather than explaining it. It did not look like you put much effort into this teaser.

Definitely explained your plan and concept and it certainly is different. However it was not the most engaging delivery.

Comedy Coup it is hard to rate these things shouldn't there be separate ratings for each week's video? Am I supposed to just rate for week two or average them out? I loved week one video anyway but now I have to get rid of that rating?

I like the acting. Having my own faith I do not think I would like to see mine made fun of like this one. Still, if it is done tastefully it could be funny. On the fence but interesting concept.
