Week #1 Show Teaser Mock the News

With the lack of filmed footage from our live shows we needed to get a little creative with this one, so we took a page from famous Canadians Terrance and Philip and recreated scenes from Mock the News live. This clip shows our comedians finding the funny in the top stories of the month and the second round, guessing how the audience answered questions asked before the show.

Synopsis

Mock the News pits two teams of comedians through three rounds of a mock game show. Top stories and audience responses are tackled by the panel but we don't simply try to guess the top story. We dig in, drill down and dissect the stories to find the funny. The points are meaningless, there are absolutely no prizes and the only winner is the audience! This show is like nothing you've seen before in Canada!

There's a show in the UK called 'Mock The Week' which is fairly similar! The audience questioning thing though is a nice touch

I like how because they only had audio of their live show that they used cut outs of themselves to storyboard the concept of the show

Mock news could be hilarious but the concept video was disappointing: too loud, didn't understand what they were saying... Too bad!
