Week #1 Show Teaser Bad Records

Two ex-bandmates reunite to bring a recording studio back from the brink. But the industry’s broke, and they're forced to implement a desperate business plan - When a band pays for a session at Bad Records, the studio will do anything for them in return. Anything. Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap.

Synopsis

In 1996, Mike and Paul’s band Scar Crow was a household name. But at their peak Paul went solo, bringing their careers to a screeching halt.

Now, Mike owns a once-successful studio that has lately been reduced to recording embarrassing radio jingles. Paul, freshly out of a jail, sees Mike as his ticket back to glory. But the industry is dead, and to attract bands, they will not only have to provide premiere production value, but offer something that no one else can.

With Paul willing to do anything, the pair soon find themselves solving mysteries, performing dentistry, exhuming bodies, suing for peace, bitch slapping ghosts and sometimes, even recording music.

This has just jumped into my top five. I LOVOOOOEOOEOEVE the premise. It has cross media appeal as CBC can showcase canadian musical talent. The episodes will be hilarious and these characters can really develop.

    Keep it up gang!

Haha What a funny concept. I was really enjoying the singing, but I loved that you cut to the scene of the guys totally unaware that the song was going on. Opening up the crate kept me captivated. Good work!

I don't give anything a '10'. even the number ten itself I only rate a 7 ( i think it thinks too highly of itself therefor falls in my esteem). but the comedic genius of Mike Paterson needs to be on TV so, you got a 9.
