Week #1 Show Teaser Mock the News

With the lack of filmed footage from our live shows we needed to get a little creative with this one, so we took a page from famous Canadians Terrance and Philip and recreated scenes from Mock the News live. This clip shows our comedians finding the funny in the top stories of the month and the second round, guessing how the audience answered questions asked before the show.

Your idea is to do Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats?

Hard to make out what they were saying at times, the audio wasn't that great , which made it hatrd to follow, just wasn't that good, real characters might have helped

love the concept, but with no expressions on the characters, it's tough to follow - have you considered shooting it live with the actual comedians [video instead of animation]?

This seems like a funny live show, but we have satirical news shows already

It's not a satirical news show. It's not even a news show. The daily show for example is a satirical news show and in some ways the Mercer Report is a satirical news show. This is a panel show that, through thinly veiled plot devices gets our guests to talk about and Mock the News. We are not doing a satiric take on the media or politics as such, it really is quite different.

Yes and no. In the UK there are hundreds of panel shows and Mock the News is in that vein the major difference is that this is a Canadian show about Canadian news with Canadian guests
