Synopsis

The Foster Projection is a political comedy show that is neither correct nor incorrect. Based on the comedy of "That Canadian Guy" Glen Foster, it will combine live stand up , sketches, and other elements which will "project" Glen's views on how the country, and indeed the world should be. This will be followed by a live panel discussion where guest comedians and actual experts on the given scenario will discuss, debate and possibly even debunk Glen's projections. The show will conclude with "The final stand", where Glen sums up the results of the show / discussion. Will he stand tall? Stand corrected? Or stand alone? And will the audience stand for it.

I found that the description and the video content didn't really match up - I respect Foster but I don't think he should be so bold as to claim to be Stephen Colbert's equivalent. And while I, too, find this not-a-contest to be amusing, I wouldn't go so far as to boldly declare it while proudly asking for their not-a-prize.

Further, I don't think Canadians need a Stephen Colbert-like figure projecting their news to them - what we would need is something Canadian, and almost uber-polite, quick to bend/yield, and eagerly support those who control the state. To me, the solo lickspittle (like an Ezra Levant-esque apologist) would be far more biting, especially if he dominated said commentator in the ratings.

I've seen enough of your stand-up to know you're solid, but putting a touch more effort into this would have been appreciated. You're better than this submission, really, and you should really up the ante for the next round. I hope you make it there, but with all due respect to your long prescence in the higher levels of Canadian comedy you really need to step up your game to make the boasts you made. I think that's at the root of the many low votes.

People are voting things way low and way high I suspect tampering. Giving this extra points because it is much better than a 1.4 certainly!
