Synopsis

Departure Lounge is a show about the places we’re sending our parents to, a show that’ll mine the world of growing old in a way we’ve never seen before on television.
We will get to know the residents of Deer Lodge as though they were our own family. We will come to care and laugh with the people who work there. All ages, all backgrounds, all nationalities.
We ship our old people off to these homes sometimes without really thinking about their lives after they’ve moved in. We figure our loved ones are safe, dry, well-fed and tucked away nicely. We’re relieved they’re “taken care of” and we drive away guilt-free.
Departure Lounge is going to shatter that myth.

I was surprised and definitely laughed at loud at the beginning. I also thought the speech he gave was a good combination of serious and funny. This seems like it could be a great show.

I like this! It is cute and funny. I may think differently if I was in my 70's. There is humor in seniors homes. Be respectful and it will work. Week 3 was a let down.

My mom works in a retirement home and her stories are amazing. I was also just saying that I can't wait until my life consists of nothing but playing cards and eating jello... the reward for a life well lived. I am excited to see this play out. Good luck.

It's not a bad idea, but the trailer didn't need to run the full 90 seconds.
