"Creativity trumps budget." Love that line. Julie has been one of my favourite characters in this competition from the start and I literally did a spit-take when she was miming in the background of one of your shots; watched it over again a couple times. Since I take the constructive criticism thing seriously, here goes: I'd love to see more of a cross-over/interaction with the kinds of folks that (stereo)typically frequent golf courses. Some old white dudes in bad pants and Tiger Woods wannabees getting their comeuppance would be brilliant!

Mehmet's Shop

Mehmet's Shop

Mehmet (played by Adam Tamer), is Deep Woods' Greenskeeper and Mechanic. You'll find him in his green overalls with a Camel in his mouth, doing his best to keep the tee boxes, fairways, and greens of Deep Woods looking luscious. He enjoys tinkering around with lawnmowers in his shop, taking long naps, and reminiscing about his life back in Turkey.

At this point in the competition I was hoping to see a different style of footage – I’ve been wanting to see how these characters interact with other characters, or actually watch them play out a short scene in context of their “day to day” activities (not just talking to the camera). However, I still think this is a strong show and I hope to see them in the Top 15!

Thanks for the feedback Don. Our video this week was about our documentary crew showing our characters a trailer of what they've captured at our country club so far. To convince us they're doing a really good job, they added a bunch of effects, slow motion, and intense music to hype our characters on what they've been up to. We were more-so trying to build off of previous missions in trying to promote our mockumentary concept.

This is the first time I've seen your project, it seems that the music here was pretty intense and dramatic for comedy, it kind of made the jokes less funny. I hope you can keep the access to that course/club for the show, it really looks nice.

Interesting feedback Forman, our approach this week was to pretend that our documentary crew was showing us this intense trailer to try and sell our characters on the footage they've shot so far. The music was chosen to reflect the lengths the documentary crew was willing to go to in order to try and convince our characters that what they've shot so far is really good. It's definitely not something we'll be doing for the actual show. Check out the music in our Week 1 and 2 videos for a little taste of what we're going for in terms of soundtrack.

Thanks for the feedback Dirt! We really like our Week 3 video as well. We tried to build on our mockumentary concept this week by having the documentary crew show our characters a trailer this time on the footage they've shot so far of our country club. We probably would have done a bit better with a little more voice-over to explain our show's concept more. Hoping we make the Top 15 to do better on this aspect in the weeks ahead.

The Country Club looks like it could be my kind of show and it looks as though you already have shot a lot of footage. The characters are appealing and there is a lot of room for interesting comedic situations.

I like the look of The Country Club, and I would definitely watch it. I don't really care for this "hype it" challenge, so I personally was glad to see more of the show including the new greenskeeper character, Mehmet. Keep it up!!

Nicely done and congratulations on making it so far in this competition. I would like to know what factors will decide the winner. Good luck.

Nice. I wanted to see more. And you did it without resorting to a single mention of sex. Actually original!

this weeks video was ok. I didn't get the hyped feeling though. I also do not know how original this idea is when I watch it I sort of feel like I have seen it somewhere before.

Another commenter in a previous week brought up a show called "Red Oaks" being produced by Amazon studios, which is similar in a few aspects as ours, mainly that it's set at a country club as well. Also, "Caddyshack" is the only major film that I can think of that's similar to our concept. Stayed tuned for more content, hopefully we'll get you hyped before this competition is over.

I found the video confusing ... it didn't really give me enough information this week ... I am just not feeling the buzz. I like the idea behind your show though, so I will check back to see how things evolve with the next challenge.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure about this project at all. The concept could work, but this video didn't make feel hyped at all. I'll keep following and I wish you luck.

I enjoyed this week 5 video of "hype it". Your quick paced and engaging pitch through the use of images with very little talking leads the viewer to wonder more about the stories yet to be told. Well done and good luck in reaching the top 15!

I enjoyed watching the video from this week but after getting to the end I don't really know anything more about the show, not feeling hyped. I've liked your other stuff though so keep at it!

Loved this week's video. I can tell the footage that you have so far is just the foundation of the cake and that the scripts probably expand and showcase things so much more broadly and with continuity. Looking forward to when you guys complete your first few episodes! Betting CBC knows this and will take this in account when making the next cut. Creativity does trump budget and you guys are running an honest campaign!

I think it's great that you showed your characters off, but I would have liked to hear more about the concept of your show as that is what this weeks mission was leaning towards. If the media was to view this without seeing any of your other videos, I'm not sure if they would clearly grasp the concept of your show.

Hi, guys. Good job on the video. It was compiled very well with all the clips and the music was very fitting. I am not sure how original this idea is, or how much of a following you can have if you win the competition, but what I see is a group of people enjoying what they are doing and having fun, so keep it up! Good luck!

Although a mockumentary about a work place is not the most original idea out there, I do think you have an interesting enough location and cast to make it work. I like the deadpan humour featured. I don't know that this particular does enough to "hype" it to the media.

Hey Kirk, thank you for your input, for future episodes we will have more "stereotypical" golfers and country club-like characters, however, we have been mainly focusing on helping our audience get a better feel for Emmett, Julie and Rachael first.
I'm happy Julie is one of your favorite characters, she is absolutely hilarious (in real life too).

I really like your location for a television show. There are so many things that are funny about a country club. The never ending parade of possible guests would be incredibly interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the ideas your creative team comes up with. Congratulations on the top 15!!!

Your video had me smiling. The little inserts were fun to watch, and the final delivery line,"I didn't know golf courses were so interesting"(or something like that) tied up your theme, wrapped it in a bow! I walked around a nearby course last summer a lot, and saw some drunk rich kids smash a cart into a tree. That was about it. Good luck!

Hey Linda, having worked at a golf course for bout 10 years I have definitely seen my fair share of rich kids crashing and/or falling out of golf carts as well! Appreciate the support, it is nice to know you are enjoying our videos and overall concept.

Thanks for your feedback, Neda. And yes, we decided that we rather show "the people" what we are about rather than explain it - that's just our style. But if you want a bit more of an explanation, please check out our week 5 sell sheet; the synopsis of the show is on the first page :)

Trust me, Debbie, there's a lot more where that came from :) Our show has many layers, which are hard to explain in such short videos because much of the humour builds off of previous events/situations/episodes; but you can check out our synopsis in our week 5 sell sheet for a bit more info.
