Synopsis

A few kilometres out of Victoria, BC, Hangman's Quay has become a popular suburb for the Legislature's young professionals. Sunny Destinations follows the fortunes of three young locals working at the funeral parlour. Richard, Rebecca, and Denis try to stave off boredom as their boss struggles to keep the business afloat in a town where the young people spend all their money in the Capital, and the lives of the aging population are extended by new medical breakthroughs every day.

Alex Kennard is an experienced writer with a dry and dark sense of humour rooted in his upbringing in the United Kingdom. Moving to Canada at 14, Alex has lived in many provinces & cities, always experiencing the country from an outsider perspective. He has written one short film, Joke Faerie, and is currently co-writing a feature-length screenplay.

Liam Sherriff is a writer, director, and editor based in Vancouver, BC. Recent credits include co-editor of "The Dick Knost Show" and sound designer on the short "Light," both of which opened at TIFF.

Graeme Burk is the author of several non-fiction books about television including two books about the TV series Doctor Who for ECW Press. He was nominated for a Writer's Guild of Canada prize for new screenwriters and has a screenplay optioned for development. He lives in Ottawa. By his own choice. Sort of.

    Well made video, could be great. Wish there were some character introductions instead of just a faceless voice. Good luck!
