Week #3 The Differentiator Sessions with Dr. Love

Dr. Love interviews his protege, Dearchild Wanders. But what makes their relationship different from what's currently on TV? He's the seasoned baby boomer; she's the new age millennial; they're the new odd couple, and it's never been more relevant, or hilarious!

It's clear you've put a lot of work into this. I'm curious to see the dynamic play out further - I'm a Gen Xer (barely) and don't feel connected to Boomers or Millennials so much...wouldn't mind seeing some of the stereotypes explored in a charming way. Good job!

I love the concept of the baby boomer/millennial interaction! Brilliant concept!
I think the production value and talent is also there for sure.
My one critique would be I find the Millennial character a little too "far out" and not close enough to home. I think the humour could be taken up a couple notches if she was more relatable, as I find Dr. Love to be very relatable for a baby boomer and I also LOVE seeing someone of this age range being represented here. Keep up the good work guys and consider turning down the hippie and up the entitlement, tech savvy, instant gratification attributes of the millennials. Cheers!

Both good actors, very convincing. As a new-agey type myself, I love seeing other bliss-out,yoga peace-niks being gently (or rudely) mocked. It's funny...and good not to take oneself too seriously. There is much interest nowadays in looking deep within, finding some serenity, and yakking about it with our friends. Maybe over a frappe-something or other. It's amazing to contemplate that only one generation ago(okay, strictly by my time clock), the word "feelings" was taboo; a real conversation-ender. Or, possibly an opener, if you were lying on a couch. But that was before we all knew that it's healthy to talk about inner workings, the hi's and the lows. And currently, if you can't spew rainbows and puppydogs, why you're simply not evolved. Will be watching this one, for sure.

He's really great but my attention was waning with her in this video. It might just be a matter of tightening up the edit though! There is a monkey outside my window.

Some Millennians piss me off, so if you expose them, yes that will be super funny. All the best to you and to your team in getting this project off the ground.

Very engaging actors. Polar opposites. This certainly kept me watching. I think the actors connected really well. The close up shots weren't as successful. It distracted from what was holding me interested. But good work folks.

I think this really has potential. I like the match up of the Boomer with the Flower Child. (Maybe "Flower Child" shows I'm really from the Boomer generation. I would like to see more.

Lots of work goes into making the attempt but at the end of the day it has to be funny for a number of weeks for enough people to get ratings and make money. I prefer others.

Nice premise of inter generational interactions although more earnest than out there. I'm curious but not laughing yet.

Really clear interesting characters, well shot, and funny! I'd love to see this show as a mockumentary. I'm also loving that I'm getting to see characters that I don't normally see on TV - refreshing for televison, and this competition!

You have found a very funny and topical area of inter-generational misunderstanding and frustration. This show is not only funny but helps us see ourselves as we are and helps us laugh at ourselves - good therapy for the times we live in.

The idea is familiar but it works! It is a totally new generation out there and having this character interact with people is always fun. The generational gap can bring about so many social issues. I think it works.

I love Dr. Love's voice and could listen to it for hours. He is an eccentric character from the baby boom generation that will appeal to a hugh baby boomer population. The baby boomers also want to know how to relate to this new generation, so this will give a lot of scope for store lines. The stories of individual couples therapy has a lot of potential and I look forward to see how each couple is handled by the old and new generational perspective . The production quality is very professional and I look forward to more of the same. Good Luck with your project.

This is a great concept for a comedy. I really love the baby boomer therapist character having to work along side the manic pixie dream girl but I agree with another one of the commenters bellow that it can potentially suffer from being one note. I would love to see the sadness buried deep inside of Dearchild...so much funny there. Look forward to more!

It's a great initial concept, especially considering the large baby boomer audience out there. But both characters seem a little like one-note jokes instead of fully rounded people. Particularly Dearchild. I would love to see that she's not just a manic pixie dream girl and is an actual human being.

I totally agree with Mikaela. Creating Dearchild as a character instead of caricature will make this show stronger. I really hope more intelligently written shows like yours, not solely geared towards the 20-something demographic will find their place in the top. Hope to see you in the top 50!

Lots of potential for one-episode one-offs and longer story arcs, and now I really want to see them go shopping for non-GMO locally sourced organic foodstuffs to make vegan quiche and kombucha.

I find your concept quite unique and see it having potential. I really like the actor you have for Dr. Love, he does a great job. I would have really like it if there were some more jokes, the competition is really tough and the more you guys can show how funny you can be the better. Good luck guys!
