Synopsis

There was a time when men were men and women were women, jobs lasted longer than five months and basements were used for storing preserves. This is not that show.

Prospects follows a diverse group as they traverse a climate that slides ever in favour of shady landlords, unstable employment and a plucky crop of trust fundees slumming it with mason jars in hand.

Watch your spirit-melting defeats and minor victories reflected in their often absurd battle for sanity against a world that refuses to make sense. Prospects is a refreshing antidote to modern "twee" notions of adulthood- one where your biggest dream isn't a festival ticket, but a very real desire to have your identity stolen.

Team

Amanda Terfloth's Profile Image

Amanda Terfloth

Showrunner, Writer

Amanda was *this* close to applying for theatre design, let's say a decadeish ago, but being a pragmatist decided to pursue the warm, reliable bosom of film & tv instead. She has written, directed, acted, edited, temped and logged a terrifying amount of "factual" television. She successfully intercepted her dad from watching the episode about the future of sex on Earth.

Mitchell Rathgeb's Profile Image

Mitchell Rathgeb

Writer, Director

Mitchell hails from the wilds of Scarborough, and grew up loving just about every aspect of film, which led to him getting involved in well... basically every aspect of film. Writing, acting, editing, composing, boom oping, Mitchell has done it all at one time or another! Now he's here to put them all in to good use and take the Canadian comedy world by storm!

Stephen Eyes's Profile Image

Stephen Eyes

Writer, Producer

Having shown early promise in "the theatre", Stephen chose the stable life and obtained a Philosophy degree from U of G. Naturally, he is a career bartender now. Stephen spends most of his tip money on his passion projects like drinking white wine spritzers in inappropriate situations. He has hosted everything from an Indie late night talk show to karaoke in queer bars.

What exactly is this show about? You just touched on a couple of people but we had not a lot to go on. Would like to see a whole lot more if you make it to the next round. Best of luck.
