Even better the second and thirtieth time!

Optional images

In the beginning

In the beginning

1923, a family run hardware store opens in a neighbourhood somewhere in Canada. Stocked floor to ceiling with all types of goods, it quickly becomes the meeting place for the community. The necessities of life are sold along side good advice, gossip and the occasional joke. Children are sometimes mistaken as sacks of flour.

The Founder

The Founder

A man of good humour and pride, the patriarch knows how to dress for success. As the business and community grow side by side, employees are hired to perform stocking and other grunt work. The owner looks on towards the future.

The Great Depression.

The Great Depression.

Hardware stores are recession and depression proof. Maybe the store is a little rough around the edges during the 30's, but that is in keeping with the times and economy. An open door with stock displayed inside and out, invites the customers to come in and reassures them that they are in control, even with little money. The hardware store empowers its community with a can-do attitude, even when things aren't looking so rosy.

The Swinging Sixties.

The Swinging Sixties.

As is tradition, the ownership of the store passes to the first born son. Firmly rooted in the lessons of the past, new ideas are born. For the first time ever, a toilet is displayed in the window. The times they are a changing. The hardware store keeps going.

Today and the Future.

Today and the Future.

As we rocket towards infinity, we will still have to clean, cook and fix our stuff. We move, we play, we work around the house. We create, we meet, we tell our stories. A century's worth of stories, repeated, across the country, between tight shelves lined with paint cans and hand wrenches. Your stories, our lives, Nuts and Bolts.

You're in the home stretch, so start eating that jar of mustard. And make it "dry" mustard! You guys are really clever, so the funny gods will surely pay off.

    Thanks Frances,
In the real show, the hardware guys will be wearing blue because it shows up better on tv than red does.

Great payoff in a comedic-timing way (the first teaser). Dry humour is something we haven't seen in a while in T.V.!

    Thanks Myke,
It's been a long time coming. Dry humour is so rare, its hip. Therefore Nuts and Bolts is the hippest entry in ComedyCoup.

This looks really cute! Intriguing, not hokey, a behind-the-scenes look at a world we all frequent but don't know anything about. "Ordinary" life, I have found, if most often the most extraordinary,

One month ago this was just an idea and I'm so pleased with what we've accomplished so far. We're ready to advance on all missions and we're well into finishing the pilot script and show bible. We are dedicated to completing this project and would like you to be part of that. I'll be happy to respond to all questions and comments here, on Facebook or Twitter.

I invite you to promote this project.

    Thank You.

Your participation here and sharing the love of Nuts and Bolts with your social networks is much appreciated. It's kind of like the special dynamic of a hardware store clerk and customer...a fruitful collaboration that will enhance quality of life.

This is the only offering that I've seen so far where I want to see the show. Who doesnt have a hardware store story? Who doesnt have a favourite employee? Once your inside you have something in common with all the other lost souls...kinda like group therapy. Please ring this bell!!!
