I love the characters. The leader of the group is totally believable, and all the jokes surrounding her predicting her member's actions made me laugh. Nice touch on the extra angry female mob member. Good luck!

Good concept; that is my rating for this video after careful consideration and review so that I might meet the one hundred character requirement and earn another merit badge in the comedy coup competition.

Good luck on your show! I have seen lots and this one is looking good! I got to go and see all of your videos from week one. I'm so excited to see you in the top 50s. I think I need to go back and watch your videos from the start, because I'm just not getting it, sorry. I wanted to see a larger crowd to make it somewhat more involving. Not sure what the connection to Mars is, either, but then again I may not have caught it from just this week's video. Best of luck to Mars2 on the rise to the finals.

I love the notion of approaching the video with the style of the show in mind, but in the case of this Hype It video, I think it ultimately failed to give me much to get hyped about. Having said that, there's a lot to love about this concept and this team -- the characters seem instantly likeable, which is a major bonus in this competition. I hope to see more.

Love that you shot downtown Calgary. However the colour grading or quality of sound or something, did not connect the outside to inside scenes. I can look past it, but it would have brought me in to have solved that.

I have to hand it to the people who put this competition together. In a million years I never would have checked this out on my own account, but they make it a game with points and voting and all that. Suddenly in checking out videos like this and quite enjoying them. I hope I see this able in the top 15. Heck I think this one could even make it all the way.

Everything that comes out of this guys' mouth is funny - without being offensive. I was at his charity event last night and laughed my ass off. Obviously referencing true stories (friends, relatives, neighbours in the crowd nodding their heads throughout the monologue) with bang on vocal impersonations - basics for the perfect sitcom - and I don't currently watch any sitcoms - but I want to watch this one.

This project had a core of a great idea but the execution leaves something to be deserved. We've seen media scrums and protests before but they aren't the same thing. If it had been a protest that you were calming then it would have worked, or it had been run as a press conference with press who have tasted blood. This amalgam left me lost.

I liked some of the humor featured in this week's video, and the idea of giving a press conference to a group of people who hate you was really funny. That said, the full minute and a half was pretty much a (funny) joke in regards to why the media should cover Mars Two; I was hoping near the end we'd actually hear some reasons as to why it should get coverage. However, it's still one of the more unique ideas in the competition. Good luck with the Top 15!

I think it's very clear what this show is about. My gut reaction to this is: five people in a room for five years is a tricky sell. One of the things I'm looking for you to address is how to make sure the show has variety (I'm sure you tackled this in your Series Bible).

I'm not sure the fake press conference was the most effective way to build press for your concept. I liked what you talked about in an earlier mission when you mentioned the community of space nerds who are into this. It was fun to see a group of friends making a video together as it began to snow.

I admire that you guys are hanging in there and going for it. The rejection theme is fertile ground for lots of self-deprecating comedy. "They're bitter, they're trapped, and they seriously can't even. So just don't." Love that line. Good luck guys.

Mars Two sounds like a really good concept, and so far I see it being executed fairly well! I must admit, I'm also a little curious to see just what would happen were a Mars Three thrown into the mix...

I thought it was a nice change to have the other members of the cast in the spot light. Seems like a very creative concept you have going on here. I wish to see more of your project in the future.

I really like your project. I wouldn't say this was your strongest video, but still very solid. You guys have a great concept here. It's truly unique and would make a great show.

First video of yours I have seen. Not too sure what your show is about. Like the story you told. Liked the sincere guy and the media's reaction. Thought the media could have made more comment on the media by acting like media more.

Hahah! Loved the crowd and the moment they took before booing again! Almost saw it coming...just kidding, totally took me by surprise! Aaand: I love surprises!
I like your humour: it's...different, it's a good different, the kind that makes, at least me, want more! Oh, and loved how u used real crowd leaving to suggest people leaving the press conference...cooool! That was, or is soo smart!
    Yes, Mars Two, great work!

Your video as always very professional almost too professional but maybe that's just me.. Love the final reaction from the crowd though. Thought you had them then you didn't. Good luck with the rest of the compatition.

Interesting video, definitely creative and funny. I didn't see how it explained your concept very well to the media though, I think it kind of avoided this weeks mission a bit. Seems like you guys are having a good time with it though.

I feel like the Borg is going to end up being behind this entire contest, don't you? At the final 5 show, that's what they're going to reveal- for so sure. Good job! Locks are hard.

From the Sell Sheet - I love this:

Funny but a little light on the details of the show. I like what I've seen before this and would have liked to see more. I does show off the feel of the comedy the group likes and how the cast fits together but there is so little about space, try watching the clip again assuming you didn't know this was a space comedy show.

This is great! Solid editing, good acting, funny concept and—most importantly—silly protest signs. I haven't seen any of your other missions yet but this has definitely intrigued me.

this was really well done! it was original as so far based on the week 5 videos I have seen it is a first of its kind. I liked the dance interlude in the giant orange jacket very funny. sell sheet was great, not too wordy and eye catching.

Your video was done great, had a good vibe to it and also was funny. This is one of the better week 5 entries that I've watched so far( still lots to watch yet), keep at it and good luck Thursday with your HYPE IT event

I don't know you guys, the under-sell tactic may have been a little heavy-handed, and it might have worked too well - I'm feeling a little underwhelmed by the project after this video... Tall fellow with the beard still cracks me up though!

I really like your video, its a cute concept. And I feel like I'm being nit-picky, but I don't see how you got people hyped with this? Maybe its just me? Still got me smiling though :) Hope to see more!

I was the fat kid in class ... so I fully understand the art of self-deprecation to get laughs. Or pity. And either one can get you votes. Well played... ;) Think you guys are definitely into the top 5.

At one point, I am standing wordlessly in the back row of the mob. I just realized that on the rare occasions when I am not shouting and my mouth is closed....I bear a slight resemblance to Karl Lagerfeld. Not sure how I feel about that.

yeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh...... Sooooo where's the part about the hype event? You're lacking in the information department here, Mars 2. Nooooooot Greeeeaaaaaaaat... 5 points for making a video though.

The link to the Hype Event is directly below the video. You'll note some teams tried to find a fun way to address the media while others talked about their events. Many thanks for the 5 points.
