Synopsis

malaprops is a low-budget sketch comedy program which parodies not only the cultural phenomena associated with the youth of Canada, but also the culture (and the lack thereof) itself. The program is about four friends with a sketch comedy show (or in this case, vying to get one) and their lives revolving around it. A mixture of narrative and short form comedy, the show will consistently break all walls, with characters continually commenting on and writing the sketches themselves, on air. Each episode will have an overall story arch, with skits flowing into the fabric of scenes by way of subtle recurring characters or merely a line brought up, or, a sketch simply ending at the writer's desk.

Andrew Chisholm's Profile Image

Andrew Chisholm

Writer, Showrunner

malaprops live by 10 simple rules/morals, contained in a step by step booklet.
Never let anybody know how much dough you hold.
Never let anybody know your next move. Move in silence.
Never trust anybody. Your own mother could set you up if situations warranted it, hoodied and masked up, layin' in the bushes to light that ass up.
Never get high on your own supply.

Talent, Writer

Never sell where you reside.
That goddamn credit? Dead it.
Keep your family and business completely separated - so underrated.
Never keep anything prohibited by law on your person.
Stay the fuck away from police.
Consignment is strictly for live men, not for freshmen. If you ain't got the clientele, say hell no. Money will be demanded rain, sleet, hail, or snow.

Jordon Sweetnam's Profile Image

Jordon Sweetnam

Producer, Writer

Jordon is currently alive, and using oxygen to produce carbon dioxide as we speak. In addition, Jordon is very adept at creating hemoglobin during this very process. He is also in possession of a coveted lymph system, with a great many lymphocytes. Controversially, he also holds a wide and varied series of bacteria, but are supposedly invaluable to his immune system.
