Synopsis

Toronto-born South Asian Rani and her 4 half children live in the last White neighbourhood in the most multicultural city in the world! The BEACH! Rani has to deal with her WASPY ex- mother in law, her fouled mouth, sari clad Indian mother, peri menopause, her gay ex-husband,White people drinking Smoothies,her kids (teenage Larry Davids), her Jamaican academic boss who she's in love with (married). So what's her problem? She wants a series on HBO. But as her agent the wealthy Indian born Iraqi Jew Samuel P Moses explains,her sitcom violates all the rules of what is acceptable in “ethnic” comedy in Canada. Ah well. She's stuck in the Beach.Its against her race but...she better buy a dog.

She got pissed off, so she did human rights work instead.Then she returned to do Doris Does Damage and now she produces, writes and makes films.

    Super funny. I love the little dialogue snippets in the background. Dying to see the hilarious Doris Rajan play multiple characters.
