Week #1 Show Teaser Infinite Possibilities

Glenn and Charlie begin their journey into Infinite Possibilities.

Fave 61   Share 15 Views 2558 Comments 42

Synopsis

Influenced by classic sci-fi and horror TV shows, Infinite Possibilities follows the eager Charlie, and the reluctant Glenn as they navigate dangerous alternate realities of Earth.
But, like a scared grizzly bear caught pooping in the woods, who indeed is more of a danger to whom? Oh yes, dear viewer, poor analogies will be plentiful on the adventures of Charlie and Glenn!
To continue with the grizzly bear thing, the mother bear would be a blue-haired girl named Simone--if that mother bear also happened to be a witch and the cause of all the boy's problems.
Hyperbolic but not sarcastic, satirical but not cynical, Infinite Possibilities is your favorite show in any reality.

The concept let's the show go literally anywhere it wants, which could make for some hilarious one off concepts. I'm curious if they can balance out the glitter with a solid backbone and storyline.

I think there are some funny moments, but it doesn't quite work for me. Doing a spoof of sci-fi shows that are already quite comedic, just doesn't make it feel very original.

Infinite Awesome! After watching a ton of entries, this is hands down one of the best executed teasers in the competition. The potential is so there. A show like this would be so refreshing and funny for CBC to take on. Am following this project now - hopefully until the every end.

Did I mention that lead actor with the long hair is like a tall glass of handsome water?

Does Robo-Hitler have a Robo-Austrian accent? It's hard to tell. The plastic dinosaur is a nice touch, but even joke sci-fi needs a touch of polish. Hopefully there are enough set locations around the St. John's area to keep it from always looking like one is in St. John's; though the alternate-universe premise would allow for it easier than a time-travel premise. Your main picture shows a title character clutching a box; in the video it's there when you're running - maybe a hint at the box contents? Unless it's that magical record player; if so maybe put a stronger tie between the record player/magic/it's what allows for the space-travel stuff because I cobbled that together myself.
