Synopsis

Jay's nerves are shot. He's getting his first paycheck as a writer, but at what cost? Artistic integrity, respect, self-esteem - all of the above are long gone, but at least he has his own TV show. It's not his opus, "The Good Lawyer", but something else entirely - "Ghost Lawyer". A lawyer who represents the dead.

Jay pitched the idea off-the-cuff. He felt backed into a corner, confused and defeated, but the execs loved it and his knees buckled at the sight of a contract.

Ghosts, courtrooms, empty witness stands, clients who may not even exist, and a heavy dose of REJUSTICE, Ghost Lawyer won't write itself and Jay certainly won't attempt it while sober.

Jennifer De Lucia

Talent, Producer

Jennifer is an award winning producer (Cancer Can’t Dance Like This – 2011 Canadian Comedy Award) and an actress for both the stage and film. Most recently Jennifer starred and co-produced The Dishes a short film directed by Gemini Winner Jessie Gabe.

Daniel Stolfi

Writer, Talent

Daniel Stolfi is an Actor, Writer and Comedian from Toronto Canada, known for his work in The Canadian Comedy Award Winning play, "Cancer Can't Dance Like This". Daniel is a Graduate of the University of Guelph Theatre Program, The Second City Conservatory Program and has studied Comedy in New York City with the Upright Citizens Brigade.

Matthew Hodgson

Writer, Marketing / Social

Matthew Hodgson studied Psychology for eight years at the University of Guelph and York University, so naturally he wants to write a TV show and work at a bar. He's been fine-tuning his craft in Toronto for the past five years, finally ready to unleash his demented mind upon an unsuspecting Canadian audience. He thinks that a ghost lawyer should be a real job.

I'm a fan of ghosts and supernatural shows and movies. Haven't seen many funny ones outside of the Scary movie franchise. This is one I will look forward to

Some of the teasers are quite funny, I like the premise and the lead actor has great comedic presence. At the same time, the premise as currently presented seems like it would deflate halfway through the first episode - I'd like to see the absurdity fleshed out a lot more into a story worth following (or just a sketch series).

Could be OK. Was turned off by the visual.representation of the ghosts. Would have to see what the lawyer can do for them.
