Optional Images

"Interracial Adoption"

The child actors is this scene are both actually Sunee's. They were adopted from Winnipeg. They are not Adam's or our friends Rhett & Jenn's.

"Arranged Marriage Draft"

Introducing Arkie Kandola as Mr. Dhaliwal, Jen Martin as Jen White, and Brian Billo with his Grade 12 Drama class from WJ Mouat High School. Thanks!

"Brown Santa"

Cliff is actually employed by the SevenOaks Shopping Center to read stories to children as "Clifford the Elf." Yup. The kid in the scene is his.

I enjoy your main concept so much that I wasn't too excited by the flip it idea. Some funny stuff and a few misses but entertaining. Mostly I just want more of Buddy Guys as seen in the previous challenges. You guys are in my top 5!

I'm happy to root for a team who was cut right away, didn't make the "Top 110" and fought their way back. There really isn't a hell of a lot of "new" going on, so let's actually have a show that works for CBC shall we? Yes. That's you!

Very smart writing! Really enjoy your stories, and this one was certainly smart and funny, well done again!
I still love the backwards spin on culture, pronunciation of words, arranged marriages and all - growing up in Toronto I have lived all that with friends of many cultures here, and laughing was really the only way I found kids would deal with it. Even me, the cake from Scotland... hanging out with my Indian, East Indian, West African, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Canadian friends in high school was the best laughs ever... you guys remind me of those days! And we actually said "BUDDY GUY!" lol!! hahah! Keep up the good writing!

I love the sketch Idea! I agree that you could have reoccurring characters and follow their stories every other show or whatever, but the sketch format really would allow for more social commentary and hilarity. Abbotsford is culture gold! Good luck guys!

I'm one of the ones on the pro-flip side. I think a sketch format would give you a wider range of topics to explore and would be more forgiving as far as acting ability goes. Your arranged marriage sabotage story could be a recurring sketch. But since you'll no doubt be sticking to your original concept, I do think your idea of using quick cutaways, flashbacks, dreams and other surreal moments to bring that sketch-com style into a sit-com format is a great idea. Best of luck.

Thanks so much John. The way our script works is that within the story, there quick cuts (flashbacks, backstory clips, dream scenarios etc) used to illustrate and build context etc, so you end up with fun sketches w/in the whole for a FULL and fast paced show. It feels good and we hope you get to see it all play out soon! Thanks for your support!!!

I can't and won't agree with you! I am a fan, and I think the slot they earned, yes earned on the Top 15 was well deserved.

That being said, humour is subjective, I found this funny even though you did not, and I respect your opinion. :)

BuddyGuys are my #1 pick. The Flip was awesome! I've watched it many times just to catch all of Sunee's subtleties. I think Canadians need BuddyGuys - this interracial stereotype humour is hilarious and educational (I mean for some people).
