Buddy Guys are Different! Has there ever been a show about a White Guy who would rather be Brown and a Brown Guy who would rather be...? Well, we are not quite sure what Sunee wants to be. Buddy Guys is a fresh concept with unending possibilities and an unending range of audience potential. AND we listen to our audience... Mrs Gill as Mrs Dhaliwal is back! #BeDiverse #BeDifferent #BeABuddyGuy
Fave 55 Views 1175Your audience numbers are amazing. Shoot it in Canada, sell it around the world. The next Anne of Green Gables?

I think you guys are funny but I don't know how you can do a full or long show without making every race mad at you? I am not convinced yet. Is is like All in the Family?
Your photo is epic. Hopefully in the end people see that the heart behind the comedy is understanding and assimilation. Thanks Andrew!
This is pretty funny. hope you guys make it through. I would like to see where this show heads and how the comedy would work.
hmm, i feel like this is a scene out of Now and Then, when that girl who looks like a boy loses her necklace in the sewer.
I will definitely need to look this up!
Quite the competition from the east to the west coast and such an excellent group of participants makes it hard to pick just 15. I hope CBC gives you each a coffee mug or something for getting to the top 55. Best wishes to all.
This sounds pretty interesting. I would like to see how it plays out. You can do a lot in mixing cultures and having outsider be clueless to create some gold comedy. Keep it going,
Way to go on your comedy coup efforts to date. You have succeeded in making it to the top 55 and that is something to be proud of. Already the competition is getting tough as the quality of the competitors gets refined. Best wishes for making it to the next level.
And it was with this video that I knew for sure that we would see the Buddy Guys back in the Comedy Coup. The comedian is hilarious and a star waiting to be discovered.
I really liked this a lot. Great acting, good jokes. Well produced. Actually surprised to be just finding this now. Hope Im not too late. Love to see you moving on.
Way too funny! Love you both!
Dope!
I have to write more than 100 words to get some more votes. You guys are hilarious and hope this turns into a show. Don't worry I'm using my votes for #Buddyguys Ok is that 100 yet?
Very well done video. You guys are naturals on film. Well shot. Great storytelling. Like the premise. Good look as we move forward. Royal - Littleton Falls Settler Village.
Loves it!
Can't wait for the hype it event!!
Hahahahaha love it! I second whomever said their favorite line is, "we just call it food."
Every time I watch anything i truly LOL!! So funny and I love the chemistry between Cliff and Sunee!! #BEABUDDYGUY!!
Wow! And Buddy Guy IS black. I'm trippin
You guys are so funny! Awesome acting and improvising…. Sooo natural! Great show idea. You definitely know your community!
The twists and turns make me want to see more. Never a dull moment!
Cliff is hot. Super hot, like I want to have his babies. Oh wait, I did. (It's cool, producer guys who are checking the comments, I'm his wife). GO BUDDY GUYS!!
this weeks video did a good job of showing what is different about your show. I like the multicultural aspects. Some of the ideas need refining and a little bit more originality.
Favourite line: "We call it food".
I really like this idea; it has LOTS of potential. You two guys are really good and the setting and quality are excellent. Looking forward to more.
Love the turban line, funny/unexpected. Needs work but could have great possibilities depending how it's handled. Great so far. Be more like Cliff, great carry through line by the mom.
Loled at “I’d rather be black” hahaha, theres actually a pretty big Punjabi community in Africa (don’t know why that’s relevant just thought id mention it ) this looks pretty good tho, im assuming itd be about you guys exploring the complexities of each other’s culture? Or would you be two guys discovering different cultures and cuisines with context coming from your cultural backgrounds? In any case I’d like to see this show go forward theres definitely not enough Indians being represented in a non goofy way on TV, something this show could maybe help remedy.
GOOD LUCK!!
Peace and Love

Last lines of the video sets toward very hilarious moments. Good work
'we call it food' that is a great line. Good video. I want to see this show!
Nice work boys!
Love It!
My hubby and I have been quoting Sunee all week. "we call it food" ... ha ha. oh and LOVE Cliff's excitement.
i like the idea. i love Indian culture and it would be great to have a show that showcases it in Canada. Love that Sunees mom always asks why he cant be more like Cliff. good luck with the rest of the missions.
Great job on week 3, was good, still laughing over the first weeks vid,
well done on week three. It gave me a laugh and entertained me.
How could this not make the top 110? You two keep making me laugh and there's a lot of potential in the concept. The writing is smart, the video quality is excellent, and there's a lot of chemistry between the performers. Here's hoping you guys get some more opportunities to get this out there.
this show should have made the Top 110. Hoping you get a wildcard
you guys have a really good concept for your show- canada is the perfect melting pot for multicultural television programs and stereotype-crossover angle helps with poking fun at our own groups via another race put in situations you wouldnt normally see them in
These guys rule! Great energy, clean, loveable persona, winner!
Go buddyguys! I agree with Shana, there are very few shows on here that seem to have a storyline that can actually carry viewers further than a few episodes. This is definitely one, and I love the way you guys are going for it! I sure hope we keep getting to see more!
As a fellow not top 110, I'm really thrilled that you guys are giving them a run for their money. I'm sincerely hoping that well-written shows with a more broad appeal will find their place on top and unseat the one trick ponies. You have a concept that has potential for development and has an actual story arc instead of relying on gags and caricatures. Good luck!
Absolutely hilarious stuff. Definitely has a great flow. I would and will watch this regularly. great job guys, look forward to seeing more stuff from you
These guys have great chemistry and play off each other really well. Totally suits the name of the show "Buddy Guys". It's kind of like an old 80s buddy cop comedy. My favorite part was when they kept spouting off population numbers, like they actually knew the numbers off the tops of their heads. Way to keep Abbotsford in the game!
Totally fun and good for you for staying in the competition. Your energy is in the right place and this comedy totally suits CBC and would do great across the world. Good luck in the next 10 weeks.
Love your comedy, love your mission
Z
I remember watching Sunee perform standup at Blue's Comedy @ Capone's, which had our table in laughs. My favorite joke was the one about how hard it is to pick up girls in downtown Vancouver and take them back to his place an hour and a half away in Abbotsford. Best of luck with the show guys.
Great job!! Very funny!!
With an audience over 2.5 billion ( punjabi and African viewers) how could you not win!! Funny stuff guys. Keep it up and good luck.
Seriously wanting to give you all my votes but some how some other "comedies" that included bums, farts and va jay jays throughout their clips made it to the top 110. You guys are hilarious. The show must go on!
There is a ton of talent out there! We appreciate you sticking with us and cheering us on! Use your votes on what you will like and then you'll get them all back again for the next round. Crazy eh? AND if you keep pumping our tires in social media, who knows, maybe we'll get that wild card and then you'll get to vote for us on the next round! Thanks Liz!
Looks like you guys are having a ton of fun. Congratulations for keeping the project going and hope to see you in the Top 50!!
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
Hoping for a wild card for this funny group!
Thanks for all the comments looking forward to see what happens going into the top 50
Why has CBC not knocked down your door and offered you a development deal already? RIDICULOUS. I thought your first video was so charming... glad you're back in the running!
This should have made the Top 110. Seriously. How did it not!? It makes no sense. They are legit. Wildcard for life.
I really like this idea - different cultures living side by side and making it work, even respecting each others differences while laughing at ourselves.
Okay I would follow this every week. SO great. Love the bond between these two guys. The banter. The violence in slapping the joke back. It flies on the screen. Love it!
Nice work guys!!
Your audience numbers are amazing. Shoot it in Canada, sell it around the world. The next Anne of Green Gables?
We laughed sooo hard at this one! <3 <3
Good comedic timing guys. Your Differentiator sketch is one of the few that actually made me laugh and want to see more of this show.
I just imagined Sunee with the red pigtails and the straw hat and it delighted me. Thanks for the imagery and the positive affirmation!
Yeah, right?!? When I think of great canadian shows, the ones that come to mind are the ones that transcend the "made in Canada" label and reach a broader audience.
Funny stuff!
Love it! Can't wait to see more!
This is your best video yet! I wanted to see this episode all the way to the end! Great facial expressions, and comedy punch.
Can't wait for the show . . . a few minutes at a time is not enough!
I think this is smart and funny. I could see myself enjoying this with friends on a weekly basis!
I definitely love your guys' concept and am hoping to see more as the weeks go on. I know this isn't the pitch video, but I did feel it was slightly weaker than the teaser and the week 2 video. Keep up the good word guys!
