Week #3 The Differentiator Buddy Guys

Buddy Guys are Different! Has there ever been a show about a White Guy who would rather be Brown and a Brown Guy who would rather be...? Well, we are not quite sure what Sunee wants to be. Buddy Guys is a fresh concept with unending possibilities and an unending range of audience potential. AND we listen to our audience... Your audience numbers are amazing. Shoot it in Canada, sell it around the world. The next Anne of Green Gables?

Buddy Guys has a Global Audience!

Buddy Guys has a Global Audience!

Are we disillusioned to believe that every Punjabi person in the world will watch and love Buddy Guys? How about every English speaking Punjabi person? Better yet, how about anybody anywhere who has ever made eye contact with someone who seems like they might be Punjabi? Well, guess what, we don't care what you think! We believe the whole world will find something funny and relatable in Buddy Guys. Oh, and if you happen to know someone who knows the Great Khali or Sim Bullar, please let them know about our crappy graphic and that we need their help backing our threats.

I think you guys are funny but I don't know how you can do a full or long show without making every race mad at you? I am not convinced yet. Is is like All in the Family?

Quite the competition from the east to the west coast and such an excellent group of participants makes it hard to pick just 15. I hope CBC gives you each a coffee mug or something for getting to the top 55. Best wishes to all.

This sounds pretty interesting. I would like to see how it plays out. You can do a lot in mixing cultures and having outsider be clueless to create some gold comedy. Keep it going,

Way to go on your comedy coup efforts to date. You have succeeded in making it to the top 55 and that is something to be proud of. Already the competition is getting tough as the quality of the competitors gets refined. Best wishes for making it to the next level.

Loled at “I’d rather be black” hahaha, theres actually a pretty big Punjabi community in Africa (don’t know why that’s relevant just thought id mention it ) this looks pretty good tho, im assuming itd be about you guys exploring the complexities of each other’s culture? Or would you be two guys discovering different cultures and cuisines with context coming from your cultural backgrounds? In any case I’d like to see this show go forward theres definitely not enough Indians being represented in a non goofy way on TV, something this show could maybe help remedy.
    GOOD LUCK!!

As a fellow not top 110, I'm really thrilled that you guys are giving them a run for their money. I'm sincerely hoping that well-written shows with a more broad appeal will find their place on top and unseat the one trick ponies. You have a concept that has potential for development and has an actual story arc instead of relying on gags and caricatures. Good luck!

These guys have great chemistry and play off each other really well. Totally suits the name of the show "Buddy Guys". It's kind of like an old 80s buddy cop comedy. My favorite part was when they kept spouting off population numbers, like they actually knew the numbers off the tops of their heads. Way to keep Abbotsford in the game!

I remember watching Sunee perform standup at Blue's Comedy @ Capone's, which had our table in laughs. My favorite joke was the one about how hard it is to pick up girls in downtown Vancouver and take them back to his place an hour and a half away in Abbotsford. Best of luck with the show guys.
