Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes

Mission #2 Director Andrew Lynch & DOP Charlie Allison set up Ryan Caron's introductory scene.

In Blank Verse the webseries, Charlie Allison fulfilled a multitude of roles. She wrote Act 3, co-wrote Act 4 and stepped in last minute to direct the finale, in addition to her continued role as cinematographer for the entire series. Andrew Lynch was also involved in multiple capacities as casting director and co-producer in addition to playing the role of Richard Burbage.

Storyboarding

Storyboarding

Mission #2 Director Andrew Lynch and Ryan Caron recreate Storyboarding on Amanda Konkin.

This scene in the team video is based on the true inspiration for Blank Verse the webseries. Amanda had the idea for Blank Verse before leaving on a week long vacation and talked about it with Andrew Lynch (who would go on to play Richard Burbage in the show) and he immediately told all of their friends about it. When Amanda returned, she was thrown into preproduction on the project, and Blank Verse was born.

Ryan Caron adjusts the home-made collar for Xander Williams' Shakespeare costume.

On Blank Verse the webseries, Ryan would often step up to fulfill multiple roles. However, we did have two amazing costume designers on the show. Laura Fukumoto acted as head costume designer, while Jennifer Waterhouse stepped into the role for our Halloween inspired episodes for all of Act 3.

Xander Williams was the first person cast in the webseries & from that moment took on an important role in bringing the show together. He was involved in casting sessions, & wrote Act 5, part of Act 4 & the special

Ryan has unique passions.

This screenshot highlights one of the unique elements that was brought into the creation of Blank Verse the webseries. Our Transmedia Producer Laura McLean helped to develop an entire fictional online world for the characters of the series, including multiple character based twitter and tumblr accounts, the online student newspaper, The Messenger Speech, and Wills Blog, Will Shakespeare Writes. There are multiple ways we hope to include real audiences in the fictional world of these characters, and would continue to build this content should the series be chosen.

This team definitely looks like they have fun together, and as everyone knows, the team that has fun together is the team that has the most fun in general! It's also fun to watch a team having fun, because it gives you a sense of having fun as well!

The story boarding looked fun and your concept looks interesting. I didn't realize it was Shakespere who we can blame for inventing starving artists. Way to go on making the top 55.
