I like the b&w Woodstock-style poster. Simple and eye-catching. Great logo and font. Tight package all around.

I liked both posters but the black and white really stands out and I like the design. Enjoying how you guys are doing these challenges and look forward to following you throughout the process. I would def buy a guitar from Blackwater Music.

Definitely A over B. I prefer its creativity and style. I kind of wish they were upright though, it hurts their appearance and my neck with them the way they are.

I think poster B is a way stronger design, and you could've easily applied it to a landscape format

We did them as a movie poster style. We didn't realize they would be oriented the way they are. Come by the store anytime and we'll give you a neck massage on the house.

I chose poster A, because the silhouette was a nice framing device. However, I am really perplexed as to why this is so popular - I find the characters to be repetitive/overlapping and the setting (music store) as the only big win for the show, yet later videos seem to show an inability to film there on a whim. I hope I'm not coming off as overly cruel here, I want to be able to provide more constructive criticism but... you work with what you're given?

Thanks for the polite and cogent response, Danny. It really puts me and many other watchers at ease knowing you guys have access to the music store. It's not that I don't like you guys, it's just you're facing stiff competition in the slacker comedy section from entries like Dépflies. It was the quality of your content that motivated me to put in all this effort of response because either through comedycoup or not, you just may get a show out of this. The stronger the product and the better it fares, there is an increased chance of it getting picked up by another network(If I was a smart competitor I`d be watching this like a hawk). If it does get a full run either way, that much more work is available for people who want to earn a living wage off acting in Canada and to me, that`s the biggest win of all.

And so everyone can stay in the know, what Danny is referring to on the part of economic viability is part of the rating I gave the Week #1 video. And to add; you bring up a good point. Many shows rely on characters who cannot maintain a shop - Dylan Moran's & Graham Linehan 'Black Books' had the same focus ,especially with Bernard. And I can say I love the madcap schemes of the crew at Paddy's - I'd be pretty remiss if I hadn't familiarized myself to some extent with such a good product.

And again, thanks for a polite and well reasoned response.

Thanks for your insight Brian. Not sure it makes a difference at this point because you clearly don't like the show which is completely fine. However, to answer your questions we have access to the store. We just didn't feel it added anything to shoot the week 2 and 3 videos there as it is an actual store as you can tell so shoots can only happen overnight. To answer your question in regards to the economic viability of our TV show music store, it's a TV show. Not an actual business. I'm not sure if you have ever seen "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" but their show takes place in a bar which most likely doesn't make money let alone support 4 adults. Once again because it's a TV show and not a real bar it's not as important as just being an overall funny show. All the best.

Furthermore, I called out 'Wilderness Man' in the first week for its (what I perceived) to be a negative portrayal of someone who could have been defined as 'mentally ill' (people gawking at a man talking to garbage in the woods) and they responded both politely, and I noticed that the following tone of their vignettes moved away from that aspect of the concept and towards the surrealist motifs that they wanted their special to be about.

So by all means, ignore my advice if you wish but your response to me was more revealing of character than anything shown in your vignettes.

With all due respect, Ryan, I appreciate and respect the quality of the content your group has put into the contest. However, I don't appreciate the exaggeration (ten times? There are only ten weeks to the contest?) and I especially don't appreciate you insinuating I am 'up to' something.

I was merely providing a certain insight into your work that you may not have considered and since (at least to me) the same issues were recurring, I was forced to make recurring commentary. I mean, I could have been super childish or crass or even cruel and even wrote out a few choice sentences right now, but decided not to include them.

If you can't handle criticism, wait until you have to work with producers and editors and writers from the CBC, who will be able to make actual changes without your consent instead of just leaving free advice you can heed at your own pace. I can also tell from the amount of 'thumbs up' I received that I have articulated something many people who watch your vignettes agree with.

Especially when it comes to your vague insinuation to my motives in this contest, I have actually left harsher (and lighter) advice to people I have personally worked with in the past on their comedycoup projects. I just changed my previous six rating down to a one, mainly because it's the audience you're meant to appeal to - not attack.
